Please, no sweet little bears for this girl (bassinet makeover)

Our dear friends are very kind and are lending us their bassinet.

I hope our girl will be sleeping in there for the first months, this will propaply sit next to my bed or at least in our  bedroom, we are not quite sure yet.  But since it has wheels, there is no need for a hurry, we can relocate it every day.

The bassinet lookes like new, but I wasn't quite happy with the look of the fabrique, I'm not at all into this whole little-sweet-bears-on-every-baby-piece thing. So I went on the hunt and found nice bedcloths at ikea for about 20€. I knew this was it, you can't beat more than 4m of fabrique (1,50m wide) for 20€!
(I've tried to find it online, but it's not on their webside...)

I ripped all the seams, washed and ironed it, and then started sewing.

I'm really pleased with the outcome, it's not quite pink (which I also try to avoid for my girl), more a little on the salmon side, and I really like the geometric pattern.

Can't wait to but the little one inside, only four more weeks...
