Monday Morning EPP Count 2014 July 1

After nearly six weeks of baby-caused EPP absence I try to get back on the track.
Okay, it´s not actually EPPing, but I working on finishing my last EPP-piece, my babyquilt for Anna.

Yesterday I started to applique the white boarder, it´s small progress, but at least it is a start.

After appliquing the white fabrique all around, there will be another borderstripe in the yellow fabrique seen below.
The lilac polkadot will probably be my binding, and the darkviolett one is for the backside.
I orderd these three online (www.butinette.at), and I´m pretty pleased with hoe they look in real life, the colours are as vibrant as I hoped they would be.

Hopefully next week there will be more progress to be shown, lets see how this week works out for little A and me...

As always I'm linking up with Jessicas MondayMorningStarCount over at lifeunderquilts.com, I´m really curious what the other ladies are up to...

At the moment...

Taking a lot of naps during daytime - hej, when being a mum to a nearly 6 weeks old baby one has to take every opportunity to get sleep she can!

Loosing weight like it's my job - Thanks breastfeeding!

Eating, taking a shower, use the bathroom whenever I can - See first one...

Trying to squeece in some diy-time as often as possible - I really miss my projects...

Gaining really strong arms from carrying around 5,5+kg a lot - best workout ever.

Reading three books at a time - See here.

Enjoying co-sleeping - It´s easy, it´s convenient, it´s a pleasure.

Getting around by feet a lot - One good walk for this little one and I every day.

Changing my cloths about 20 times a day - Or at least it feels like it, thanks milk explosions...

Dreaming about future sewing projects for this girl - I see a lot of pretty dresses coming.

Marveling how quick six weeks can pass by and also feel like a whole lifetime.

Loving this new mommy job!!!

July Reading List

"Wow, you are reading a book while having a six weeks old baby?!" Ähm, yes, I do.
Infact, I'm currently reading three books, akways using the one which is in reach while I'm nursing or trying to make little A fall asleep or whatever.

I need this to stay sain. To have some conversation, or aka words, from a grown up. Or else soon I would forget how to speak in whole sentences when being alone the whole day with the baby ;)

So here is what I'm reading in July 2014:

Stupid picture, why are you always the wrong way ´round, I don´t get it...

Das goldene Ei / The golden egg by Donna Leon
I HAVE to read the new adventures of Commissario Brunetti every summer. Without it, it wouldn´t be a real summer for me. I read the first one while being on vacation when I was 14, so this means nearly 20 years of this routine.
I know the are not high poetry, but I like her writing style and the way it´s always not only a story about a crime, but also a story about venice.
(Funny fact, did you know these books are translated into 35 different languages, but on her demand not into italan? Leon wants the venetian people to meet her without prejudice and reservation, because she gets her story backrounds from them. I think that is really funny.)

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling
What do I have to say about that, probably not a lot. I´m reading this for the forth or fifth time, still loving it. This is the first time reading all the books in a row, so far I always read the new book when it came out or the prequel right before the arrivel of a new one to get into the mood.

Where have all the boys gone by Sophie Kinsella
I think I got to read my first book (Meet me at the Cupecake cafe, also very good) of Sophie Kinsella by amzone recommendations.
At the moment I´m reading all her older books via the kindle app on my iphone, for one they are cheap, and for two I always have my phone on hand while being awake at night breastfeeding.
These books are funny, simple chickflicks, the story isn´t new or very complex, not at all suprising, but I like them anyway...
