Monday Morning EPP Count 2014 June 3

And then it all went pretty fast...

On  Thursday the 18th I went into labour. For sure I would not have told you it went fast if you asked my that evening. I was already 8 hours in hospital when everything stopped and the pain kept going on. So in the end I ended up having a secio. No dream come true, but this way everthing is allright with my baby girl, she was delivered with 52cm and 4068g. Pretty big, pretty good, pretty sweet :)
And her name is Anna.

Even though my new life is simple just baby right now, I quickly wanted to share my last progress with the EPP babyblanket with the world, I'm quite sure there will be no progress in the next few weeks, but we will see...

I added all the white parts. I wasn't completely happy with the result. I thought about adding one round of whites all around so that every coloured piece is surrounded with white. But that would have ment a lot of filler pieces and a lot of corners again. So I decided different.

So this is the plan: I will applique all on white boarder stripes. Anyone knows a good tutorial for that?
In my mind there is also a second boarder stripe in orange spinning around, and propably a purple back.
How does this plan sound to you?

Monday Morning EPP Count 2014 June 2

Tick Tack Tick Tack....

It could start any minute now, amazing...

I´m really tired and lazy these days, and hardly anything is done anymore, but thats just fine. I´m loading all my batteries for the big new adventure whicj will start oh so soon.

But I got a little EPP done, started to add the white fillers, thought about a boarder in the future, ans basting whites like its my job. I really like the look of this so far.

Thanks for all your nice comments every week, I´m getting excited and happy reading every one of them.

Have a nice week, we will see how I´m able to blog my EPP progress :)

Monday Morning EPP Count 2014 June 1

Whoop whoop, three done, only ONE flower to go. And then it´s all neutrals, neutrals, neutrals. This sounds good to me now, we will see how soon I´m bored...

I´m starting with the last one any minute after finishing this post, since I want to achive as much as possible in my last few days being kidless (I can´t believe how fast time flew and how soon is the due date, less than two weeks...).
Doing much more then sitting and sewing (or else knitting) has become nearly impossible in the last few weeks, but I´m pretty fine with this situation, I´ll have to be up on my feet the next few years so this short periode of doing nothing is really welcome!

Don´t think this is my final outlay, I´m quite sure I will change up the flowers up a little bit while connecting them with the neutrals (I think I´m going with whites...).

Any suggestions how to join the flowers and the fillers? Should I sew small neutral flowers first and then combine the coloured ones around them, or should I just bast the neutrals and conntect them with the flowers each on it´s own? What do the experts think?
