There is so much and so little in my life going on right now at the same time.
I´m in week 34, so I´m nearly counting the days till my due date.
Over all, this pregnancy went really well, no morning sickness, the baby is well, just these little discomforts like kicks in my stomage, back pain, tiredness, insomnia,... But which mama to be couldn´t live with this, the reward at the end is a million times worth all this!
I had to stay home from work (primary teacher, 1st grade) a little ealier than planed, the kids, the everyday stress, the standing, all this simply was to much for me. And the moment I was staying at home everything was fine again. High five to the austrian social system and this possibility!!!
So now it´s all about nesting. Fun fun fun!
Not nearly everthing is done, but I tell myself every day there is still enough time, we will see how long this works ;)
I had to start a new EPP project, I can´t hold my hands still long enough, I have to do something crafty, especially in the evening when we are watching the telly.
First a started a maschine sewn quilt for our babygirl, but do you know the feeling when you try to do something really special, and it just doesn´t feel quite right. I knew this couldn´t be it, I wasn´t pleased with the colours nor the afford, maschine sewing simply felt to easy for this girl, MY GIRL!
So I decided to give this project to another babygirl who will be due nealy the same day as ours, and started thinking of something new.
And then, as so many times before, there was pinterest and this picture. I new this would be it, and I was really happy when I found out it was SelfSewns old blog, because I follow her along a couple of month now and love her work.
So far I have finished six "flowers" in two weeks (mine don´t look at all like flowers, but I still love the design). Plus one is in progress since yesterday evenning.
Once you get the hang of it, the assembling is really easy, although there have been some difficulties and there are still some curses once or twice :)
I don´t know how big this project is going to be, and I still don´t have any neutrals to fill the gaps, but so far this project is feeling right, and this is the most important part for me right now.
I´m linking up with Jessicas MondayMorningStarCount over at lifeunderquilts.com.
This is one of my absolute monday highlights every week. It is so inspiring to see all these projects every week!
