Monday Morning EPP Count 2014 - Week 1

I got really excited when I saw Jessica over at Lifeunderquilts started a new Monday Morning EPP count.
I joined at her last one last summer and enjoyed it really much. It´s been so motivating to see all this beautiful projects and their progress every week and it really pushed me and finishing my work.

So I was a little sad that there was no EPP project in line at the moment and I couln´t join in.
I´m working on a special qulit at the moment (for one special little human), but it is mostly machine sewn (rectangles or triangles I am not sure yet), so it would not work for an EPP count.

First cutting for the new blanet, I may add one or two other fabriques if something hits the eye...

But I got a little EPP-obsessed last summer, so the thought of joing worked in my head all week, and on sunday I knew what to do. Since my sewing machine broke down a few weeks ago and I am still waiting for my new one I couln´t work on the actual quilt, so this was the time for the leftovers!

I decided on doing some extra stars to applique to the finished quilt, don´t know yet how many or how I will place time, on the front or on the back, but one could not go wrong with some EPP stars, am I right?

Now I am able to join Jessicas MondayMorningStarCount again, and I´m over the moon excited!!!

  2. Maybe your broken sewing machine was meant to be. I often find hand work a welcome relief from sitting at the machine. Enjoy your new stars!

  5. I have appliqued English paper piecing before and I'm always so pleased with the results. Hand appliqued stars will certainly make this project all the more special for your new arrival! Congrats!
